About EGL Volunteer Abroad Trips

The EGL Volunteer Abroad (VA) program was founded in 2007 and is one way EGL continues to maintain its strong tradition of global service. The VA program aims to instill within its members both the importance of current international issues and each member’s ability to have an impact on these issues. Each year, EGL partners with NGOs or international service organizations to coordinate impactful projects with significant community interaction. These projects typically last two-weeks and take place in late August so that students can still participate after their summer internships or projects.
